Fitness Testing


My motto has always been to "Test" kids often so that they lose the anxiety we all feel around the big "test" day. When we practice what we are tested on FREQUENTLY, I see the kids begin to enjoy and look forward to the days when we actually write our scores in our Fitness Folders. This has been a weed of running the Mile and seeing how long we can do the "Plank" test. The kids continue to AMAZE me with their determination to better their scores every month. We are also the only ISD school that runs the Mile. When kids hear the term "mile-run," they used to be scared. NOW they are confident in their abilities and ready to show their middle school teachers their amazing skills when they get to either PCMS or PLMS in 6th grade. I like to build confidence in my students and help them realize just what they ARE capable of!
